XAMPP-Control Issues Under Vista

For reasons not under my control it was necessary to upgrade to Vista way too soon.

Starting XAMPP-Control (current version) with nothing else active and not starting any services results in CPU use cycling between 30% and 50%. The little hourglass replacement blinks constantly beside the cursor. After a while a BSOD results.

Starting mysql or apache (the only services I use) using the batch files doesn't cause any problems.

It happens to me too. I'm using IBM T43, XP SP2.

it is strange... I tried to download last xampp-control version, and also last pv.exe (prcviewer) and it keeps doing it. My guess is that xampp-control is calling pv.exe too quickly.

Anyone knows how to solve this??

Regards,
Jose.

Stop and close the XAMPP Control Panel supplied in the download and take a look at the DTX posted by ridgewood which would appear not to have the pv.exe issue and is reported to be working just fine:

Take a look at the new DeskTopXampp launch control posted by ridgewood:

The DeskTopXampp launch control for XAMPP and XAMPPlite (DTX.exe)
is available here:

I highly recommend DTX.
