PHP not running in XAMPP?

Hi everyone,

I installed XAMPP for WinXP and it runs fine except I don't see PHP running in the Control Panel. How will I know if it is running and why is it not in the Control Panel? Any clues?

When you click on the XAMPP icon at the bottom right, it shows you which process are running. Mysql, Apache, Mercury, show up but not PHP. Any idea why?

Sure, PHP is not a server. It's just a scripting language, used by the Apache server.

I'm a little green to this. I have been running WAMPP and am used to seeing all the processes; scripts running together when turned on. Guess I'll have to study XAMPP more.
