How to UnInstall or Upgrade the phpmyAdmin

I am using XAMPP version for the past 2 months. I want to upgrade the phpmyadmin version in my system.. I want to know, how to uninstall or upgrade the phpmyadmin in my system.. Please guide me to fix the above..
