Your uninstall does not remove the MySQL service from the Services list on WinXP.

I opted not to use XXAMP because of its rather large size (250MB) and failure to automate configuration requirements of PHP/MySQL/Apache2 to set up a localhost development database.

Also, you should package and auto-configure phpMyAdmin.
