XP and virtual subdirectories (as symb-links)

Postby tomjoad » 29. December 2006 09:26

Hi, since german is an unkown wor(l)d to me i apolegise if I double post, anyway:

I now run xammp under XP (used it under linux for a while) and have the need to be able to point subdirectories to directories outside the default document-root. I don't want to mess with the hosts-file and vhosts, since i want to dev. and at the same time be able to reach the dev-machine from customer-networks. (and my IP will be in an ever changing mood)

Since XP won't (easily) let me use symb-links I want to:
127.0.0.1 -> docRoot
127.0.0.1/css -> NOT docRoot/css

in PWS i could do this easily by adding an alias, apache must be able to do the same, but how, how, how... Any help very thankful.
