Apache Friends Support Forum

Hi Im hosting a site with about 200-300 hits/day, when I have apache running for a week it uses abut 600-700MB of swapfile and I just rebooted and dont look the RAM in use, is there any configuration that i can use to improve the performance for a site without high traffic?
(im looking for something to add to httpd.conf for example or links to read about configuration for high traffic/hits sites, low, etc.)
The SO is W2k Pro with 768MB
