I am a newbie. I finally had learned enough PHP/MySQL to write a simple script that put data into a database. I had it echo a statement when the connection occurred. I verified that the info when into the appropriate table. All was right with the world. I have run that same script several times. It worked.

Today, when I run that same simple script, the browser comes up blank, echoing neither the phrase I had told it to echo when connection is successful, nor the error statement. Also, the data does not go into the database.

XAMPP appears to be running fine. I have tried restart the XAMPP services, and then restarting the computer.

The one thing that I can think of that has changed on my system was that I downloaded Firefox 2 a few days ago. I have noticed that now that when I try to use IE to open a file that had been previously touched by Firefox, it opens only in firefox, even if I am browsing in IE.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
