Is there such a thing as "easy to use" anymore?! I have tried userdir, the instant I enable it, it crashes the service.

I have tried vhosts and it keeps telling me that no matter how I input the path or which path it is referring to, it is malformed and tries to go all the way back to the htdocs/xampp directory, which is not where I want it.

I'm getting immensely frustrated with Apache in general. I have had the same problems with the unix version. I have come to the conclusion that Apache has evolved out of it's own league and no one knows what to do about so they just ignore these problems.

If someone knows how to rectify these problems under Vista RC1, please please let me know. I have a server which needs to be able to redirect to multiple directories, ala userdir mod which doesn't work.

I forgot to mention that when I do get a vhost working, the main site goes down and comes up as a 403.
