unable to access after setting passworl. It appears that user name is incorrect. Have checked error log and password is fine.

Where and how did you set up your Apache username and password?
What error log did you use?
What was the error log entry that you read?
What address are you using to access what, that is refusing you access?
What is the message you get when you try to connect?
