Hi Guys,

I have searched high and low for a solution here, but I have already hit the limit of my skills....

I recently installed XAMPP on a Thumbdrive, thinking I could use it when away from home as a test bed. But, I think I must have read the instructions incorrectly and somehow I have managed to kill the Apache and MySQL installation (non XAMPP) which was already running on my PC prior to doing all this.

Inside Control Panels -> Administrative Tools -> Services there is a Service called "apache2", but it's path is set to the thumbdrive's path and attempts to Start of Stop that service through the Services list fail.

So the assistance I require is two-fold:
  • Uninstall XAMPP completely
  • Reinstall the Apache and MySQL Services for my Local, Pre-Existing Install

I am quite anxious to fix all this, as I had a number of development systems in the pre-existing server which I would like to recover.

Any assistance would be greatly apprecuated.

Luke

1. Read the xampp\readme-en.txt file
2. Follow the instructions you used when you first installed the other services.
