I guess you are talking about the XAMPP control panel and MySQL?

Can you start MySQL with the batchfile?

You try to start your car, but it stops again. Maybe no gas...
--> I don't know where you click on "start" or what is "it".

No, i cannot start MySQL using bat.

I'm no expert, so don't shoot me if i'm wrong, but you said you have set your ports in your router, but do you have a firewall on your p.c, and if so; have you also allowed the ports in that; i.e allowing appache and also mySQL through your firewall.

also, I think there is plenty of people on here who may be able to help, but they may not log-on and surf the forum every day.

I had to exact same problem when I use to run XAMPP.
Uninstall the MYSQL Service in XAMPP Control Panel and Re-Install it, then try starting MYSQL.

Hang in there sa3bin you'll get it.

Then you have a problem with the registered windows service for MySQL.

Delete the wrong service with (in "cmd.exe"):
