which my.cf file to use?

which my.cf file to use?

Postby Guest » 07. August 2003 21:31

I just downloaded XAMMP 0.9, and have worked with previous versions before. I want to have MYSQL start automatically, and I remember placing the my.cf file in the root of C:.

However, when I go into the \MYSQL\ server, there are four my.cf files.
Huge
Large
Medium
Small

Which one do I use? Where is a list saying which one to use for what?

Thanks!

the config file are under xampp\mysql\bin\my.cnf

and when you installed it correctly with the install script, it copys this file to /xampp/ just drag&drop it into notepad, and save it as my.cnf under C:\
