Update problem

After installing from Xampp 1.1.1 to Xampp 1.5.4 my websites do all not work. They all come up with http://my-site/xampp instead of http://my-site. And instead of the index.html files the welcome to xampp page is shown.

What to change to get my sites back to normal?

Did you keep a copy of your httpd.conf files with the changes you made so that you can copy/edit those changes into the upgraded version of XAMPP?

Yes I keep the old httpd.conf .
Funny thing what I discovered that there was it seems xampp had installed it self in a new directory as .../xampp/xampp/ being the first directory the old one and the second directory the new version.
Now checking more. And putting old site back (had a daily backup of it)
