Don´t get me wrong - I am gratefull having access to the fantastic XAMPP . But I want to prevent the system to start up automaticaly when I switch on my computer. But I cannot figure out how to do that. The reason for my wish is that XAMPP Windows takes rather a long time to to start on my computer, and it is not in every session that I use it.

In the XAMPP Control Panel you need to uncheck all the services under the Settings... menu. Then reboot and see if it has done the trick.
