Forum Problem on my website

Postby Silverman » 04. August 2006 20:41

Hello,

My own website works great, and the outside world can visit it ...
But just 1 problem left ...
I've installed PhpBB2 Forum om my website ...
I made another user for my forum and logged in on another computer ...

After login you see this:

If you go to the forum again, i'm just logged in ...
Same counts for logging out ... Refresh the forum, and your logged out ...
Very irritating for the one who visits my forum ...
On my very own computer where XAMPP has been installed, i don't get that problem ...

Is this a fault of setting up the server or just PhpBB2?

Thanks anyway,
Silverman

Without more detail to your problem is is hard to sort out for you. The image only gives a 404 error, which means your server can't find what it is looking for in the place you have told it to look. Check the paths to the file(s) it is trying to find.

Your image is in German or is it Dutch perhaps? This is an English speaking forum. Most members here would not be able to read your image other than it is a "404 file not found error". ;)

I know, it's Dutch ...
But you know the layout of that 404 error page ...
So you can see it on your own computer ...
I don't know how to put that in english ...
Should i translate it all then ... ?

I am fully aware of what a 404 error is and how to fix it. I have given you the clue as to how to fix your 404 error in my last post. I can also see it is not the standard XAMPP 404 error page issued by the XAMPP server so must not be from XAMPP.

You can read about the 404 error message here:
http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Error_404

The best description is here in English:
