Go to the Configuration menu in the Mercury interface, and bring up the settings for the MercuryS SMTP Server. Go to the Connection Control tab, and check the settings Relaying Control settings towards the bottom. That's likely what's generating the error message you are getting.

Does the script that you're using have settings for SMTP AUTH user name and password? That's the best way, if you can make it work, because you *don't* want to open up relaying on your server.
