Since installing XAMPP for Windows XP, the MySQL service makes my PC speaker beep exactly every one minute .00

Before you say anything, i cannot disable the PC Speaker.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm running PC-Cillin antivirus & firewall if that helps.

That must be very annoying to say the least.

Why can't you disable the PC speaker?

If you want to disable the speaker until you find the cause of the beep you really can.

Try this:
Go to Control Panel and select System.
Select the Hardware tab
Select Device Manager
On the top menu bar select View
Select Hidden Devices
Under Non Plug nad Play Devices right click on Beep
Click on Disable
or click on Properties and under the drop menu select Do not use this device (disable)
That should do it and will give you some peace until you find out what is causing that annoying beep.
Hope this helps. :)
