Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

I have installed Xammp for Windows which had V5 of MYSQL, but I need to downgrade to V3.23 to make it compatable with another server - can anyone explain to me how I do that?
Thanks.

Off the top off my head try this:
Stop the MySQL5 service from within XAMPP control panel
Goto MySQL website and download the mysql version you require and install.
It will run as a service and you can still refer to it as localhost in the same way you would using the xampp version.
As long as you don't start the XAMPP service again you should be fine.

Thanks Wooshman
That was so simple it was untrue -
Although when I installed the version I wanted it said I should change the paths in the C:/windows/my.ini to point to the new location.
Thanks again.
