phpbb problem
Posted: 05. June 2006 02:44hello, greeting, i am newbie for xampp. recently i would like to run phpbb on my own pc (winxp). everything is smooth while installation for both xampp and phpbb. I can see my own forum in "localhost/forum" and as well as lan pc. the problem is, my friend can't view my forum in his home. what he saw is a blank page with silver backgraound.
info:
my friend can view my simple html based webpage
port forwaded 80 & 3306
mysql started in xampp panel
web server started in xampp panel
Please advice
additional info
1. created mysql database name "forum"
2. extract phpbb installation to httdoc\forum
3. run localhost\forum (install)
4. while installation, domain name = localhost (please advice for this)
5. delete install and contrib after install
