Apache Friends Support Forum

I have windows xp home sp2. I have installed xammp and it indicated that it installed successfully. I got to the main page and when i click status everything is activated except for server side include and the smtp service. Whenever I click on phpinfo() it stalls and indicates that the apache http server has encountered a problem and will shut down. It does the same thing when i click phpadmin. I was wondering what is wrong. I installed it on my sister's laptop and it worked correctly but will not work on mine. How can I make my phpinfo() and phpadmin work? Any help is greatly appreciated.
