Installation with XAMPP 1.5 on Win XP home

Hi

I posted this on the Vtiger forum but just in case I don't get a reply I am posting this here just in case you might be able to help me. I also was wanting to know how to add entries to start page on http://localhost/xampp/ - same as the shortcuts to the demo programs to start vtiger or other programs. Thank you.

Hi

I have installed vtigerCRM4_2 using the windows installer - following the instructions in the Installing vtiger CRM without Apache and MySQL in the vtiger_CRM_Installation_Guide_Windows.pdf - into the XAMPP directory and I can't get Vtiger to start:

C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\vtigerCRM4_2\vtigerCRM\

I've tried this in Firefox:

http://localhost/xampp/vtigerCRM4/vtige ... /index.php

with the result :

The requested URL was not found on this server. If you entered the URL manually please check your spelling and try again.

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.
Error 404

Apache/2.2.0 (Win32) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.0 OpenSSL/0.9.8a mod_autoindex_color PHP/5.1.1

Is this because I am using PHP 5 or have not got the right syntax?

The startvTiger.bat lalso looks for the ApacheBundled installation:

C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\vtigerCRM4_2\vtigerCRM\bin>echo off
C:\WINDOWS
"APACHEBUNDLED"
The system cannot find the path specified.
The system cannot find the file bin\Apache.

Can you please advise the best workaround as I am completely confused and without any experience with php etc.. I don't know where to start.

Thank you
