Apache Friends Support Forum

Hi my site is hosted somewhere else but i only get 1 mysql db with them so how can i setup mysql from localhost on my computer so when i edit the config details for a forum it will point to mysql along with phpmyadmin
u have xampp installed thanks.

1) You have a hosted site that allows you 1 MySQL schema.
2) You have XAMPP installed on your PC.
I am not sure I follow though - please clarify:
Where are you installing and configuring the forum? local or site?
Which MySQL server whould you like the forum to connect to? local or site?
