phpMyAdmin refusing to connect me...

I changed the password on MySQL before I ever used phpMyAdmin, but now when I need to use it, it won't work!!! What do I do? I do not see the need to make changes to the config.inc.php file because I am using http auth.... I am using XAMPP 1.5.1 with PHP4 switched on....

try 'root' as the username and want ever you used for password
