"Uninstalled" vs. Windows Installation transfer

Postby dweiss » 19. February 2006 20:09

I currently have the "non-installed" version of Xampp for Windows running (the one where you just unzip it all and run it without installing it into the registry). I'm thinking of changing to the full installation version and have a question:

How would I transfer existing MySql databases from the old version to the new? Most of what I've done so far is just a matter of moving my htdocs directory, but I have several applications that have created MySql databases and I'd like to move those to the new installation without having to setup them up and repopulating the database from scratch. Is there an easy way to do this?

Thanks,
