Advantages of Windows Installer

Are their any particular advantages in using the XAMPP version that is designed to be installed into Windows as opposed to the version that just unzips and runs? Does the installed version run faster? Use more or less memory? Or, is it just installed differently?

It just gives you the option to install it as services, Which you can do the the CPanel just by checking services.
