Protection against the hackers?

Hello.
I am bit concerned about the hackers.
I have seen ALOT of people getting hacked while using Apache on windows.
I can not afford to be hacked at my current situation, seeing as I have some of these important matters on my computer.
Would one firewall be enough protection ?
I am using Zone Alarm Firewall free version.

How do I make my computer completely safe from the hackers?

Thanks in advance.

You will never make a computer completely safe from hackers. All I can suggest that you do is, make sure you password protect xampp, phpmyadmin, myql, run php in safe mode, and only make sure you open the necessary ports needed for xampp, and if you use a router you will also need to open the needed ports for xampp. A router, firewall, and xampp correctly configured then you should be good to go.

thanks.

Because I am trying to make a hosting server ( yup T1 :) )
I need little bit more "protection" than other people.
Any suggestions?

I used to do the same thing, but leading webhosting companies only use switches, firewalls with neccessary ports open and antivirus programs. All I can say is go with it and keep in eye on your apache logs.

If you comment your php.ini in [SAVE_MODE = On] you'll get this in the status page.

Is it normal ? Is it wrong ?
