Hi,

My computer is hosting a website in the htdocs folder but I have some movies and music I would like to share on an external hard drive (my J: drive). How would I link to it so that people accessing those downloads could download it? A direct link to them wouldn't work since their browser would think to look into their nonexistent J: drive. Do I have to physcally move all the files to my htdocs folder for them to access it?

You can setup an alias for it (like cgi-bin ) to point to the other drive.

Look in the httpd.conf file for some examples .
