As indicated by WorldDrknss the path is incorrect, but the problem is not only the incorrect "/var/" as suggested in his post but also the fact that you have incorrectly referred to your "mysite1" directory as "mysite1.com"

Glad to see that you have "localhost" working though.

Nice work!
But I have some questions:
If I insatll it under programfiles and not in the root on C:, does that have anything to say? I have followed all your steps down to nr.15, only thing i have done different is to insall it in the programfiles folder.
But under nr. 15 i can`t fint the text you gave:

15. Scroll down to the very bottom and delete everything starting at #NameVirtualHost *:80

Have opend it in notepad. What can be the problem?

Edit: Okay, I found your text now. But it was in a file named: oldhttpd.conf and not in the httpd.conf file. Am i supposed to have both of this files?

Question,

After doing all the run abouts for mercury, AND sadly, xampptutorials is down! I need support.

Steps:

1) installed
2) edited the local domains
3) enable relay

but I still get this (non-local). I did this before and it was suppose to show (local)! Help! Of course I know its not my ISP problem, since my port 25 is not blocked.

Same here. I can't access my site. My website takes me back to the XAMPP Control Panel. :( Please help. I followed the above instructions from this post and have no luck seeing my site.

sorry threads in this forum do not get answered anymore, this is that we have created a website that has tutorials, generators, and flash tutorials to make the installation and configuration more easier, and to help those new to xampp to understand it a little better. You can access this site at http://xampptutorials.com.

Good luck fellow xampper.

@kamlareddy88 -

This topic and the information are out of date - please post your question to a new topic "with your own details" including XAMPP version.
