I need to configure Xampp so that my site (index.php in the xampp/htdocs/xampp directory) (running on PHP-Nuke) will not have password protection on it. I just want it so that people can type in

www.mysite.com

and get

www.mysite.com/index.php

and be happy because they made it to my site without a password prompt.

I'm not too sure about that one, maybe Wiedmann will know...
Maybe you can find a solution to that @ www.dyndns.org, where you can create a dns name, like www.yoursite.com and it will direct your viewers to your website (http://yourip.com/yoursite/page.php) etc...
Give it a go,
It also works with dynamic IP address', and there are some good free packages...
