Hi,

I have a problem with the logging in http://127.0.0.1/main/xampp/index.html (that it is, where my Xampp is root listing). If I try and LOGON with jdolan the username and the password spectrum it rejects me.
The login dialog comes up but says I'm using the wrong password (password mismatch in Apache logs) for the user "jdolan"??

What is wrong?
This is within my C:\apachefriends\xampp\security

IN mysqlrootpasswd.txt:

mysql users = jdolan
mysql password = spectrum

IN xampp.users:

jdolan: spectrum

IN xamppdirpasswd.txt:

XAMPP users = jdolan
XAMPP password = spectrum

Can you explain the problem to me? Many thanks - it is much assistance to me.

This URI should be http://127.0.0.1/xampp/index.php

Or you may find (as I have just) that if a page is not found when using 127.0.0.1 you have problems so also try

http://localhost/main/xampp/index.html
or more likely as Wiedmann states
http://localhost/xampp/index.php
also if you have created a sub folder under htdocs called main then also try http://localhost/xampp/main/index.html

Nope, I changed it and put it all in a folder called Main.

just my thought:

since you put your folder in a different place, XAMPP cannot find your XAMPPdirpasswd.txt or xampp.users file.

So, you cannot login...

Ich habe dasselbe problem wie Sie! Hast du schon eine loesung das problem? Wenn ja, wollen sie mir das schicken? Ich suche schon 2 wochen nach dieser Antwort, aber habe es noch stets nicht gefunden.
