Tomcat & Cocoon

Hello, I'm new her, and sorry for my bad english, i'm from holland.

Ok, i want to install Tomcat and cocoon, but i need the java sdk.
On the website i downloaded 2 versions, but nothing works, if there someone with this problem, of better, a solution.
I download the versions of cocoon and Tomcat from Apachefriends.org.
