Can XAMPP auto-start when computer starts?

Postby Vger » 16. June 2005 23:52

I have the XAMPP Beta version working on a Mac and have to start that from the terminal. On Windows I currently use Xitami, but want to switch my Windows machines to XAMPP also. However, I do want the ability to have XAMPP start automatically when the computer boots up. Is that possible? If so, how?

Many Thanks - Vger

autostart?

Postby Vger » 17. June 2005 02:29

Thank you for replying. The problem I have with that is that I am unable to locate 'autostart' on Win XP. It used to be relatively simple with Win 98 to add items to start when the computer laoded up, it was located under System Tools, but this menu is not available in XP.

Many Thanks - Rhea

:?: Ist the same as under Win98. "autostart" is just a subfolder in your profile directory.

--> open the "Help- and Supportcenter" and search for "autostart". I think you can find there something about this.

Thank you for that. I didn't realise it was controlled by the Task Manager. I now a very long backup process before I uninstall Xitami and switch to XAMPP.
