Cannot get Perl to execute

Postby rowdyroy » 14. June 2005 02:19

I have tried every combination possible in the first line of my Perl pages for a web site and cannot get it to execute. Site sees MySQL, Apache, and PHP. I am using Dreamweaver MX to build and test website. XAMPP installed with Perl addon. XAMPP indicates the Perl is installed and activated. Last tried #! apache\xampp\htdocs\modperl. My first time out with Perl! Pages execute through hosted site using standard #! usr/bin/perl. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks

how about putting your web page under xampp/htdocs/modperl/ and run?

URL: http://localhost/modperl/<webpage>

Last tried #! apache\xampp\htdocs\modperl. My first time out with Perl! Pages execute through hosted site using standard #! usr/bin/perl.

The correct SheBang is:
#!c:\xampp\perl\bin\perl.exe

Modify "c:\xampp" to your installation dir.
