Deactivating PHP

i'm new to XAMPP, my webserver is the 3rd up and running webserver on our home network, i feel this an achievement since my brother spent hours slaving away at his computer to get another setup of VQserver running on our network. anywho to the point.
Is it possible to deactivate PHP (all together, for good and no coming bk unless i say), i have no use for it at the moment and I see it as a large security risk to my computer and my home network comprising of some 12-14 machines. i'd like it disabled completely A.K.A. no trace of it on the system or being broadcast to the outside world.
any help would be grreatly appreciated, Thank you
