PHP not working!!!

Postby librarc » 29. April 2005 15:10

When I downloaded the installer, I assumed that PHP would automatically be configured and ready to use on the Apache server. However, even though the apache installed fine, the PHP did not. Am I supposed to manually configure php to work, or did the installer just did not work? I am running on WINDOWS 2000 SPK 3; just in case that info was needed

The apache start up page works fien, because that is a htm file; it is only php files that do not work

Try entering just the drive letter e.g. D: you will need to press the space bar after to activate the button to continue, this will omit the apachefriends directory and instal into D:\XAMPP\
there was a problem way back with path settings unless it installed to \xampp so I have entered just the drive since and had no more problems with paths.
If you use either of the the zip installations you need to run the setup_xampp.bat file afterwards to register the installation path, the Windows installer should call the batch file automatically.
