I ran Mercuy and tryed sending an email with php

Warning: mail(): SMTP server response: 553 We do not relay non-local mail, sorry. in C:\www\m_send.php on line 2

Ideas?

Isn't the solution obvious?
That error message is straight from Mercury!

So just go into the SMTP config and allow relaying of non-local mail. It basically restricts mails that don't have a "From" address that Mercury recognizes.

If you do allow open relaying, be sure to set your firewall to block external machines using your SMTP..... else you may find your server spamming others.

Or as i did find another mail server such as magin winmail and use them allows the hosting of unlimited domain (for a fee) but its so much easier than mercury, i think the next version of xampp should come with an easier to understand mail server
