Hi guys,
I've already got a wildcard certificate that I want to install on XAMPP on a Windows machine.
I don't get how to do so, forcing all traffic under HTTPS
Could someone help me?
Thanks in advance.
Nobbie wrote:Normally the provider of the certificate comes with a documentation how to install it. As a certificate proofs the identity of your server, you have to proof at installation time that you are installing on the correct server.
There is an example virtualhost in httpd- ssl.conf which shows where you can put the certification files.

No. Not at all. You need a SSL certificate.
So first of all - do you have a certificate?
Nobbie wrote:Edit httpd-ssl.conf and apply your certificate to your Virtualhost. As i already said, there is an example virtualhost. Put your files as shown in the example, then restart Apache.
Actually, there are tons of tutorials and documentation in the internet, how to apply SSL certficates to Xampp. Simply google for " apply ssl certificate to Xampp". Its not very usefull if i repeat what others already have documented nicely.
Nobbie wrote:With that extremely poor amount of information nobody can help. You should explain precisely, what you are doing, which files do you have, which certificate (who releases it), what exactly did you try already (did you change any configuration, and what did you change), what happens after, did you get any messages, please show us all of them an finally do not show us dummy data (like domain.com) but real data and real code. Copy & paste code and message
"I dont make it work" does not provide any information.
