MySql does not start anymore

Hi,
till yestarday I started xampp normally, no issue. I tried this morning and this is the error.

This is what mysql_error.log reports, which makes no sense to me. Is anyone able to help me?

I just starting getting the same error today. My log report is similar to the original posters. MySQL appears to start but only runs for a second or two and then quits.

I just starting getting the same error today. My log report is similar to the original posters.

Just because both of your logs are containing only old data. In fact the last line in your logs is a success message from the last successful start.
None of the messages give any hint about the real issue.

Try to start MariaDB as console application in XAMPP Shell with the following command and tell us what it responses.

Hi,

• Open your folder "\xampp\mysql\data"
• Delete the file "multi-master.info"
• Delete all files beginning with "master-"
• Delete all files beginning with "mysql_relay-bin-"
• Delete all files beginning with "relay-log-"
• Delete all files beginning with "ib_logfile"
• Delete all files beginning with "aria_log."

Now try to start mariadb the normal way again.

some of these files are appearing in the mysql/data directory again
files starting with aria-log, multi-master , ib-buffer
can i delete them again?
even though the mysql server hasnt crashed?

Yes, these files have purposes for logging, speed things up or control the replication.
