One or many databasetables are unavilable...

Postby Gifting » 31. October 2020 09:59

I´m setting up a local installation of Wordpress using XAMPP in Windows.

XAMPP is installed and I have created a database (by visiting http://localhost/phpmyadmin) for my site and I have copied the Wordpress files under C:\xampp\htdocs into a folder I created with the same name as the database.

To install Wordpress I´m trying http://localhost/"nameofdatabase". But I get an error message saying "One or many databasetables are unavilable. The database might need to be reparied"

In the XAMPP control panel I can see both MySQL and Apche running and the logs from the panel doesn´t show any error messages.

Windows Firewall is turned off (for testing) and I´m running the controll panel as systemadmin.

Anybody have any suggestions of what might be wrong?

Is there no documentation in Wordpress how to install it? Actually it looks weird what you are doing there, is that the recommendation?

I wonder, how will WordPress know which databases you have created for WordPress?? Ask in a WordPress forum, we do not support WordPress here (this is a Xampp forum, not a WordPress forum).
