Wordpress 3.+ into xampp 7.+ HELP

Hi there;
I'm stumped I downloaded Videos on installing XAMPP and wordpress. Installed XAMPP but can not get wordpress to load as seen on the videos. Videos are OLD and have different view to web page with the new version of wordpress.
I get as far as localhost/pphmyetc.. the webpage i totally different dont know what to do . I enter the db name any name but the page does not givve me the install the wordpress NOW bit.
Any help??? Please Really stuck had to delete the installation as I could not get on any further.
Hope some one has the same latest version of the software as I have.

Hi there!
My best advise is to go to uTube and in the search bar place as follows:
uTube videos how to install xampp and wordpress
You will find many vids on the installations, chose the one that is close to your configurations. I did and I have it working, although WordPress is a difficult program to understand. I'm used to standard directories where I can find my web site pages and see them there, wordpress does not do this and so I'm stumped on its use.
