Table sizes too small in PDF

I have a weird issue when creating a PDF of the table structure using phpMyAdmin 4.6.6 on my Ubuntu 14.04
Everything works well: I can use the designer and drag&drop the tables to have them at the right position.
However, when I create the PDF (A4, A3, Landscape, Portrait... ) the tables are very small and apart from each other, even though I've placed them close to one another in the designer. So small that I can't even read the content.
The data dictionary has the right size though and is readable.
Does anyone know what is happening and if I can change any settings to get it to work?
The number of tables is around 40, but I've tried with only 4 tables, same result.
