empty PHPMyAdmin page in Win7, no login form :(

anstalled the latest Xampp on PC with Win7 home edition, it opens up fine, but then when trying to start
phpMyAdmin....there is only an almost empty site with only a welcome greet, but there is nothing else,
no login form, nothing, so i cannot access phpMyAdmin (or MySql etc.)

Xampp ControlPanel also starts fine with Apache and MySql running nicely in green status.
But there's no phpMyAdmin access possible.

Have reinstalled Xampp twice with no improvement.
What could have went wrong in the setup?
Is it maybe a Windows7 config.-issue?
