Hello,

I am new to xampp. I installed and i got it running. I connected to phpmyadmin etc and everything worked fine. Two days ago when i typed http://localhost/phpmyadmin/ i get the following message

I tried to find the phpmyadmin folder but it does not exist (i have show hidden files on!) On the security part of my localhost at the security there is this message.

PhpMyAdmin: Could not find the 'config.inc.php' ... UNKNOWN
PhpMyAdmin: Could not find the 'config.inc.php' ...

I run it on Windows Vista. Has someone any idea what might cause this?

You have UAC Off, you are an Administrator, the phpmyadmin folder is in the xampp folder and the config-inc.php file is in the phpmyadmin folder?

You have rebooted Vista and tried again?

The problem is that there is no config file as there is no phpmyadminfolder! Not sure how this is possible (of course i have rebooted vista)

These things happen.

Best to uninstall XAMPP and reinstall again.

Not much else you can do if the phpmyadmin folder has been swallowed up by Vista and I have no idea why it happened - perhaps Google may help with that.
