I installed xampp 2.5 on XP- i can access mysql via cmd and it works fine after altering config.inc.php. but cannot launch mysqladmin from http://localhost
what is the correct path to launch admin? do i have to change a file? Attempt to launch from xampp panel "driver not found" I have to stop attempts via task mgr. Any advice? Thanks!

mysql\bin\my.cnf (console)

If you install to D:\xampp\mysql,

C:\>D:
D:\

D:\>cd D:\xampp\mysql\bin

D:\xampp\mysql\bin>winmysqladmin

D:\xampp\mysql\bin>mysqld

D:\xampp\mysql\bin>mysql -uroot -pYOURPASSWORD mysql

Thanks!
But my my problem is not getting to mysql via cmd and launching mysql.
It is launching mysqladmin. I get a "can't find driver 3.5 error on launch of panel and it keeps attempting to execute until I stop it in task manager. I where is .dll supposed to be? Same thing happens if I try to open Admin from localhost or from xampp control. Is driver libmysql.dll? or what?
thanks,
id

Is there any error message?
If you guess that the error come from libmysql.dll, you need to replace it with bugfixed libmysql.dll
