i am using xampp to test a website run by joomla. so far I could set everything that the local environment is exactly equal to the actual webserver.
(just copying files and database and everything works the same way) But now I am having the problem, that the build in ftp layer isn't working as expected.
using localhost (as at the webserver) as ftp-hostname I get an error: Could not connect to host "localhost" on port 21
using the current ip adress works. (which is not convenient as that changes regularly
its strange as i can use local host with filezilla.
I don't know if this is a problem that can be resolved with proftpd or a joomla bug...
I don't have a lot of knowledge about that, therefor I am glad about every hint even where to search.
PS: running mac osx 10.6
