I don't know, what is a Wb CP?

I see an empty cgi bin on an Apache server - what am I supposed to see?

Are you on the same PC as XAMPP is installed on?

If so can you go to http://localhost and see the XAMPP Welcome page?

I don't understand this line can you be more specific about what you mean please?

Using Windows Explorer go to the xampp\htdocs folder and see if there are any files or folders in there and in particular an index.php file.

You may have to reinstall XAMPP if files have been deleted and also you should investigate why the files were deleted if they are missing and perhaps check the recycle bin for any of the missing files - perhaps run a virus scan.

I can't know why this happens when you reboot your computer but your system event viewer may be able to.

I don't have Vista but this id for XP which may be the same:
Click on start>Administrative Tools>Event Viewer> click on System and/or Applications and look for any clues with those entries with a red cross perhaps and do this just after reboot.

The error message 404 Object not found may be better understood by looking in the xampp\apache\logs\error.log file.

On Vista are you logged in as an Administrator or Super Administrator or simply a User and is UAC enabled or disabled?

Line 53 in a default httpd.conf file is:
Listen 80

You may change this to:
Listen *:80 (fixed type)

Save the file and restart Apache.

I dont see an empty folder, I see a root folder containing a cgi-bin folder.

Listen *:80

may work better.
