phpmyadmin- Fehlermeldungen

Hallo,

- mysqli::real_connect(): (HY000/1045): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

-mysqli::real_connect(): (HY000/1045): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

can't change Password of phpMyAdmin

I have installed xampp-windows-x64-8.2.12-0-VS16 today because my old one which is xampp-windows-x64-8.1.10-0-VS16 has some problems.

Today I installed XAMPP seveal times today because Something wrong, I think, in my changing password.

http://127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin/ is well open before I change the password of mySQL through phpMyAdmin.
As I have changed the password using Change password button in phpMyAdmin. it says like the following(blue color font is translation from my mother language to English).
오류 error
MySQL 메시지message : 문서documents

연결할 수 없습니다Can't connect: 잘못된 설정wrong configuration.

mysqli::real_connect(): (HY000/1045): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

phpMyAdmin이 MySQL 서버에 접속하려 했으나 실패했습니다phpMyAdmin tried to connect MySQL server, but failed.

when I open http://127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin/, I like to see the login page instead of the error message in the quote above.

How can I see the login page?

I can install XAMPP again, then how can I change mySQL Password correctly?

cannot access myphpadmin

Hi,
I installed XAMPP on macOS Sonoma 14.2.1. At this stage I can access on the web /localhost/myphpadmin showing the root user has blank password. Using command line, I created a database, piwigo. Then I used /localhost/myphpadmin to change the password to the database. Then, I loaded mysql database from my backup. I placed the piwigo server on htdocs (server and database has the same name). After some write permission corrections, my piwigo server (with all my photo albums) is working. Now I want to go in /localhost/myphpadmin but it gives me error

Code: Select all
Error
MySQL said: Documentation

Cannot connect: invalid settings.
 mysqli::real_connect(): (HY000/1045): Access denied for user 'pma'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
 Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed.
 mysqli::real_connect(): (HY000/1045): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
 phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

Since the macOS manager-osx does not have features of the windows control panel, I do not know how to correct this.

Your help is much appreciated.

Edit, If I can change the password back to blank, maybe I can access /localhost/myphpadmin. But I searched and the methods used is on the control panel which manager-osx does not have. I cannot find any command line to change XAMMP mysql password.

edit2. I found the command and use this to alter the root password
Code: Select all
/Applications/XAMPP/bin/mysql --user=root --password -e "Alter User 'root'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY '""'"

Now I cannot access my database, since I have changed the password to "". What can I do in phpmyadmin to change the password back but also allow me to access /localhost/phpmyadmin?

Re: downgrading php version not going as expected

Nobbie wrote:Ok, there is LISTEN 4434.

Look into xampp-control.ini and see if you also changed "ApacheSSL" to 4434. If its still set to 443, change it to 4434 and restart Xampp Control Dialog. Then try again.

But last not least, i think you have multiple Apaches on your Server and starting the "wrong" one.

Sorry for the late reply.

So i did the following.
STOP THE APACHE EN MYSQL services
current xampp folder in E:\xampp i have renamed the name Apache and php to -old both.
Then i extract the version i want to use, and copied the Apache and php in to the e:\xampp folder
then in php folder php.ini file i have changed the \xampp all of them to e:\xampp\xx\xx
then ApacheSSL en the xampp apache.control.ini file changed it to 4434

# This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file.  It contains the
# configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
# See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/> for detailed information.
# In particular, see
# <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/directives.html>
# for a discussion of each configuration directive.
#
# Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
# what they do.  They're here only as hints or reminders.  If you are unsure
# consult the online docs. You have been warned.
#
# Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
# of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
# server will use that explicit path.  If the filenames do *not* begin
# with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/access_log"
# with ServerRoot set to "/usr/local/apache2" will be interpreted by the
# server as "/usr/local/apache2/logs/access_log", whereas "/logs/access_log"
# will be interpreted as '/logs/access_log'.
#
# NOTE: Where filenames are specified, you must use forward slashes
# instead of backslashes (e.g., "c:/apache" instead of "c:\apache").
# If a drive letter is omitted, the drive on which httpd.exe is located
# will be used by default.  It is recommended that you always supply
# an explicit drive letter in absolute paths to avoid confusion.

#
# ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
# configuration, error, and log files are kept.
#
# Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path.  If you point
# ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to specify a local disk on the
# Mutex directive, if file-based mutexes are used.  If you wish to share the
# same ServerRoot for multiple httpd daemons, you will need to change at
# least PidFile.
#
Define SRVROOT "/xampp/apache"

ServerRoot "/xampp/apache"

#
# Mutex: Allows you to set the mutex mechanism and mutex file directory
# for individual mutexes, or change the global defaults
#
# Uncomment and change the directory if mutexes are file-based and the default
# mutex file directory is not on a local disk or is not appropriate for some
# other reason.
#
# Mutex default:logs

#
# Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
# ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
# directive.
#
# Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to
# prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses.
#
#Listen 12.34.56.78:80
Listen 80

#SSLSRPVerifierFile "${SRVROOT}/conf/passwd.srpv"

#   Access Control:
#   With SSLRequire you can do per-directory access control based
#   on arbitrary complex boolean expressions containing server
#   variable checks and other lookup directives.  The syntax is a
#   mixture between C and Perl.  See the mod_ssl documentation
#   for more details.
#<Location />

#   SSL Engine Options:
#   Set various options for the SSL engine.
#   o FakeBasicAuth:
#     Translate the client X.509 into a Basic Authorisation.  This means that
#     the standard Auth/DBMAuth methods can be used for access control.  The
#     user name is the `one line' version of the client's X.509 certificate.
#     Note that no password is obtained from the user. Every entry in the user
#     file needs this password: `xxj31ZMTZzkVA'.
#   o ExportCertData:
#     This exports two additional environment variables: SSL_CLIENT_CERT and
#     SSL_SERVER_CERT. These contain the PEM-encoded certificates of the
#     server (always existing) and the client (only existing when client
#     authentication is used). This can be used to import the certificates
#     into CGI scripts.
#   o StdEnvVars:
#     This exports the standard SSL/TLS related `SSL_*' environment variables.
#     Per default this exportation is switched off for performance reasons,
#     because the extraction step is an expensive operation and is usually
#     useless for serving static content. So one usually enables the
#     exportation for CGI and SSI requests only.
#   o StrictRequire:
#     This denies access when "SSLRequireSSL" or "SSLRequire" applied even
#     under a "Satisfy any" situation, i.e. when it applies access is denied
#     and no other module can change it.
#   o OptRenegotiate:
#     This enables optimized SSL connection renegotiation handling when SSL
#     directives are used in per-directory context.
#SSLOptions +FakeBasicAuth +ExportCertData +StrictRequire
<FilesMatch "\.(cgi|shtml|phtml|php)$">

#   SSL Protocol Adjustments:
#   The safe and default but still SSL/TLS standard compliant shutdown
#   approach is that mod_ssl sends the close notify alert but doesn't wait for
#   the close notify alert from client. When you need a different shutdown
#   approach you can use one of the following variables:
#   o ssl-unclean-shutdown:
#     This forces an unclean shutdown when the connection is closed, i.e. no
#     SSL close notify alert is sent or allowed to be received.  This violates
#     the SSL/TLS standard but is needed for some brain-dead browsers. Use
#     this when you receive I/O errors because of the standard approach where
#     mod_ssl sends the close notify alert.
#   o ssl-accurate-shutdown:
#     This forces an accurate shutdown when the connection is closed, i.e. a
#     SSL close notify alert is send and mod_ssl waits for the close notify
#     alert of the client. This is 100% SSL/TLS standard compliant, but in
#     practice often causes hanging connections with brain-dead browsers. Use
#     this only for browsers where you know that their SSL implementation
#     works correctly.
#   Notice: Most problems of broken clients are also related to the HTTP
#   keep-alive facility, so you usually additionally want to disable
#   keep-alive for those clients, too. Use variable "nokeepalive" for this.
#   Similarly, one has to force some clients to use HTTP/1.0 to workaround
#   their broken HTTP/1.1 implementation. Use variables "downgrade-1.0" and
#   "force-response-1.0" for this.
BrowserMatch "MSIE [2-5]" \
         nokeepalive ssl-unclean-shutdown \
         downgrade-1.0 force-response-1.0

#   Per-Server Logging:
#   The home of a custom SSL log file. Use this when you want a
#   compact non-error SSL logfile on a virtual host basis.
CustomLog "/xampp/apache/logs/ssl_request.log" \
          "%t %h %{SSL_PROTOCOL}x %{SSL_CIPHER}x \"%r\" %b"

</VirtualHost>

but now all sites going directly to the xampp dashboard, or some of them does not work at all anymore.
i have also copied the complete -old apache-httpd-ssl conf in to the new one.

Straightforward Joomla install results in 403 error

I have a reply in the post "Access forbidden - 403 error - VirtualHost" but realized that I should have started a new post. I have not been able to find a solution from available posts and I don't think I should be encountering this issue with a relatively straightforward install. I am not a web development pro but I have previously posted a Joomla 3 site which is currently down for migration to Joomla 4.

I am currently working on another site "ccorch.net" which I have installed locally using xampp with the following installation details.
computer: Mac Studio (apple silicon) running Mac OS Ventura 13.5.2, XAMPP 8.1.17, Joomla 4.3.4

I installed XAMPP, and created my database "ccorch" in phpMyAdmin. I chose not to allow external network connections as I only intend to run on my Mac Studio. I also attended to FTP and MySQL passwords.
I then unzipped the Joomla_4.3.4-Stable-Full_Package file, copied the folder to /xampfiles/htdocs and renamed it "ccorch" (/applications/XAMPP/xampfiles/htdocs/ccorch)

After doing all this, opening the XAMPP dashboard produces the expected Welcome page but an attempt to open localhost/ccorch produces the "Access forbidden!, Error 403"

I am reluctant to tinker around int the htaccess.txt. I do notice that the error log below refers to the hidden file .htaccess. I duplicated htaccess.txt and renamed to .htaccess with no effect

It seems to me that my credentials as super user should override any access issues. Any help will be much appreciated. I have used the command console in the past but at age 86 I was hoping not to have to resort to much of that just to get the Joomla setup process going.

The Apache error log:

Root password reset still giving me Access Denied for user

Hi all,
I'm on MariaDB 10.1.8, Windows OS 2019 Datacenter, PHP 8.1.16, WAMP 3.3.1. I have been trying to figure out how to get back into root now (off and on) for about 6 months, and today managed to get the queries to work but still not able to log in (which really sucks because I'm the DBA, a Team of 1, and I built the server LOL). Anyway, the code I ran was:

Use Powershell Admin (win-X) navigate to cd "c:\Program Files\Mariadb 10.1\bin"
.mysql --version
net stop <db name>
.\mysqld --skip-grant-tables --skip-networking --shared-memory

Open regular powershell window
update mysql.user set password=password('<new_pw>') where user='root';
update mysql.user set plugin='mysql_native_password' where user='root';

Which, as I mentioned, all ran successfully, but when I try and log in through either HeidiSQL or PHPMyAdmin, I'm getting the Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES) error.

I desperately need to get into root to do some upgrade prep and am completely lost. FWIW, my other accounts are all able to login (backupuser, admin1, and genuser) so it's something specific with root that's the problem.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi,
I want to suggest a solution. Hope that it works.
1. Stop the MySQL server.

2. Make a backup copy of the entire MySQL data directory.

3. Restart the MySQL server with the --innodb_force_recovery option set to a value of 1 or higher. This option disables certain InnoDB features to allow for recovery to proceed.

4. Dump all InnoDB tables to a backup file using mysqldump.

5. Stop the MySQL server again.

6. Remove all files in the MySQL data directory except for the following: ibdata1, ib_logfile0, and ib_logfile1.

7. Restart the MySQL server normally.

8. Reload the InnoDB tables from the backup file created in step 4 using the mysql command.

Note that there is a risk of data loss during this process, so it is important to make sure you have a backup of your data before proceeding.

8.2.0 new install, MySQL won't start

I am installing XAMPP 8.2.0 on an iMac running macOS 13.2.1 Ventura. After installation, I ran 'xampp security', which behaved as described in the FAQ. When I start or restart all the XAMPP servers, Apache and ProFTPD run, but MySQL shuts down. The MySQL error log shows this:

So frustrating. Thanks for all your patience.

You need to realize one thing:
You are running currently two MariaDB or mysql database installations, one is listening on default port 3306 and one is listening on custom port 3307.
One does have a staff database, one does not
One does have the root password you tried in your script, one does not.

Just your two installations are confusing you. I can see that this can be frustrating, but XAMPP does not tell you to have another MariaDB / MySQL installed or change the port to custom 3307.

Error setting up simple HTML -> PHP -> MySQL on local server

Hi. I'm looking to set up some simple code that sent data submitted on a forms to a database on a website and it's not so simple! I thought I'd start with doing it on a local server then move that to online but I keep running in to an error.

I' tried to set up a simple html->php->MySQL page using the code here:

https://www.raghwendra.com/blog/how-to-connect-html-to-database-with-mysql-using-php-example/

unfortunately when submitting form data to test I get the following error message

"Fatal error: Uncaught mysqli_sql_exception: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in C:\xampp\htdocs\contact\contact.php:5 Stack trace: #0 C:\xampp\htdocs\contact\contact.php(5): mysqli_connect('localhost', 'root', Object(SensitiveParameterValue), 'db_contact') #1 {main} thrown in C:\xampp\htdocs\contact\contact.php on line 5"

I also tried setting up a simple html->php->MySQL page using the code on

https://www.webcodzing.com/connect-html-form-to-mysql-database-using-php/

which is much the same but with the database being password protected. That time I got the following error code:

Fatal error: Uncaught mysqli_sql_exception: Access denied for user 'formdb_user'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in C:\xampp\htdocs\testsite\form.php:22 Stack trace: #0 C:\xampp\htdocs\testsite\form.php(22): mysqli_connect('localhost', 'formdb_user', Object(SensitiveParameterValue), 'form_entriesdb') #1 {main} thrown in C:\xampp\htdocs\testsite\form.php on line 22

How do I resolve this? I'm finding this all very frustrating and just want to know how to fix it. Thank you!!

mysql unexpectedly will not start.

Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: N

Hi. I tried to logon to phpmyadmin and got this error
mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/1045): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

I have it setup as user='root' and no password.
Upon checking my config.inc.php file this is whats there
/* Authentication type and info */
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['auth_type'] = 'config';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['user'] = 'root';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = '';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['extension'] = 'mysqli';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['AllowNoPassword'] = true;
$cfg['Lang'] = '';

and at the start of my.ini is
[client]
#password = my-password
port = 3306
socket = "C:/xampp/mysql/mysql.sock"

I am assuming that both are correct. (from what I have read)
I also read the you can put cookie in
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['auth_type'] = 'cookie';

and myphpadmin will ignore the values of "user" and" password". So I changed my config.inc.php file to
/* Authentication type and info */
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['auth_type'] = 'cookie';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['user'] = 'root';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = 'thepassword';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['extension'] = 'mysqli';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['AllowNoPassword'] = false;
$cfg['Lang'] = '';

and got error code
mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/1045): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

I have now changed it back to the settings as it was.

What else can I try. thanks
