Hello,

I'm encountering the same issue with frequent errors in my PHP log showing:
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Exception: Serialization of 'CurlHandle' is not allowed in [no active file]:0

It's baffling since there's no active file mentioned, making it difficult to pinpoint the exact source of the error. I've tried correlating timestamps with the Apache access log, but haven't found any discernible pattern either.

If anyone has suggestions on what might be causing this or can recommend steps for tracking it down, I would greatly appreciate the assistance.

Hello,

recently, I get frequent errors in PHP log:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Exception: Serialization of 'CurlHandle' is not allowed in [no active file]:0

Since there is no file (how is this even possible?) I cannot find the source of the error.
Correlating the timestamps with Apache access log does not reveal a pattern.

Any suggestions what the cause can be?
Or please recommend me steps for tracking this down.

WordPress 6.5 is expected to ship on March 26, 2024, and the first beta version is scheduled for release on February 13. That means that commits to the Core code base have picked up pace over the last few weeks. The good news? There are lots of goodies on the way that you can start playing with today.

The sort-of-bad news? There were so many changes in the past month that it’s next to impossible to cover them all in detail in this edition of the monthly roundup. I’ll do my best to cover the most significant features for your work as an extender, but I had to make a few cuts.
In the meantime, make sure you check out the Gutenberg 17.7 RC. It landed on Friday, February 9, and it will include the final features to make it into WordPress 6.5.
As usual, make sure that you are running WordPress trunk and the latest version of the Gutenberg plugin in a development environment to test the following updates.


Highlights Block Bindings API, custom fields, and pattern overrides

The Block Bindings API is soon to be the talk of the town as folks in the WordPress community begin learning how to extend blocks in a brand new way.
In a nutshell, the Block Bindings API allows you to bind data from various sources to existing block attributes. For example, you could bind an Image block’s url attribute to a custom field, automatically injecting the URL from the custom field on the front end. In many cases, this new API will even allow you to forgo building a custom block in favor of extending the core blocks.
WordPress 6.5 will arrive with two binding sources for handling post meta (custom fields) and pattern overrides. But you can also register your own binding sources for deeper customization.

Cookie-Banner auf den Websites: ein neuer Vorschlag der EU-Kommission in der Diskussion

Wer eine Website aufruft, kennt es: sofort geht es los - mit Cookie-Banner und sonstigen Infos und Hinweisen  zu rechtlichen  Belangen. 

Man muss den Richtlinien zustimmen. Man bekommt da Popup-Fenster zu sehen - mit Infos für Cookies - und in diesem Zuge wird man aufgefordert, jetzt seine Zustimmung zu erteilen. Die ständige Verrechtlichung des Internets - sie stellt immer wieder neue Aufgaben. 

Es wird erwartet, dass der User seine Zustimmung gibt - ob denn auch persönliche Daten erhoben werden können. Das ist ziemlich nervig u. stellt sozusagen ein Problem da - nicht nur für User und Seitenbesucher, sondern auch für die Site-Admins. Da war in den letzten Jahren eine Menge Arbeit zu erledigen -  auf allen Seiten. 
Das hat auch die EU-Kommission erkannt - und will nun dagegen vorgehen. In einer neuen Initiative soll nun eine Alternative vorbereitet werden. EU-Justizkommissar Didier Reynders hat sich vor wenigen Tagen diesbezüglich in einem Welt-Interview geäußert.

"Der Gebrauch von Cookies, um personenbezogene Daten zu verarbeiten, kann laut Gesetz nicht ohne die ausdrückliche Zustimmung der User erfolgen. Aber das bedeutet nicht, dass das Surfen im Netz am Ende eine lästige Angelegenheit werden darf."

Die EU-Kommission ist also hier schon am Arbeiten - hat einen Alternativvorschlag gewissermaßen parat: Sie, also die EU-Kommission kann sich eine sogenannte "Cookies-Selbstverpflichtungsinitiative" (cookies pledge) vorstellen. Die soll z.B. auch bei Internetriesen getestet werden - also z.B. bei Amazon u.s.w.
Die (se) Selbstverpflichtung sieht auch vor, dass die Seitenbesucher - gleich, wenn sie eine Seite besuchen, dann darüber informiert werden. Wie das Geschäftsmodell aussieht - mit anderen Worten - unter welchen Bedingungen man auf der Seite sich bewegen will  - dort surfen will. 

Gedacht ist, dass über die Internetriesen hinaus - auch die kleineren Webseiten dann vielleicht nachziehen.

Im Mittelpunkt dieser Extrainformationen stehen dann auch ganz besonders die Daten - m.a.W. die personenbezogenen Daten (die etwa für Werbezwecke oder auch für Tracking usw. usf. erhoben werden). So wie es scheint, plant die EU-Kommission hier eine Vereinfachung - innerhalb der die Seitebesucher aussuchen können welchem Pfad sie folgen:

a. Pfaden (und Werbe-Modellen), welche ein ausgiebigeres Tracking beinhalten oder eben
b. Pfaden (und Modellen) die demgegenüber etwas stärker die Privatsphäre schützt.

Milestones: These can be used, for example, to track the progress of groups of issues or simply track them via pull requests in a project. When you create a milestone, effectively sets a "due date" for any issues/pull requests you associate with it.

Wikis: Every GitHub repository has a section for hosting dateb and also documentation called a wiki.

Automated triggers: A success factor of the GitHub project management system is that it also contains so-called triggers that automatically move tasks.

Issues: this is mainly used for bug tracking, but its core functionality means that it is also a useful tool for more general project management purposes.

Im Laufe der Zeit sind die Features und Möglichkeiten von Github immer mehr angewachsen.

Hi,

most common practice to track a user session are Browser Cookie based session token in combination with Serverside session data. Session data are delivered per user. So it is very important to implement the tracking cookie correctly so it cannot get stolen (replicated) by another client.

You can and should even secure this up by using one time request tokens (keyword CSRF) and making session token invalid on important changes like IP address switching.

How exactly Wordpress or specific wordpress plugins are implementing this up don't know.
